Storyglobe collects no data.

No accounts, ads, tracking or analytics. Your settings and viewing history stay on your Apple TV.

The short version

Storyglobe collects no personal information. There are no accounts, ads, analytics, tracking, location access or third-party code.

Live science data

The app requests public scientific data directly from NASA EONET and GIBS, the U.S. Geological Survey, NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center and National Hurricane Center, and CelesTrak. Those providers receive the ordinary technical information in any internet request, such as your public IP address. Storyglobe attaches no account, advertising identifier, precise location or profile. Responses are cached inside the app on your Apple TV so it keeps working during an outage; deleting the app removes the cache.

Settings and viewing history

Your region, units, accessibility settings, observation journal and recently watched stories stay on your Apple TV. Story history is limited to 64 stories and 30 days. The Home Screen preview uses a local cache of a rendered Earth image and story titles, makes no network requests, and expires after 24 hours. None of this is sent to us or to the science providers.

Children

Storyglobe does not knowingly collect information from children or anyone else.
