STORYGLOBE / SUPPORT

Here to help.

Remote controls, quick answers, and a real way to reach us.

How do I use the remote?
  • Click: explore Earth; arrows orbit and tilt.
  • Play/Pause: show or hide Field Notes in Live; switch between camera and layers in Explore.
  • Hold Click: open Discover Earth for guided stories and settings.
  • Menu: go back.
How do I visit other planets?

Click to explore, press Play/Pause to open layers, then choose Planets · visit a world. Holding Click while exploring is a shortcut. Menu returns to Earth.

Is the data live?

Yes, from NASA, USGS, NOAA and CelesTrak, with each source’s observation age shown. Earthquakes are past events from the last seven days. Storyglobe is for learning and general awareness, never for emergency, navigation or safety decisions.

Why doesn’t my Apple TV go to sleep?

Storyglobe is designed to stay on screen as an ambient display, so it pauses the screen saver while it is open. Leaving the app restores your normal sleep setting.

Does it need the internet or an account?

No account. Live layers need an internet connection; without one, Storyglobe keeps running from recent saved data and says so. The sky, planets and Planet Explorer work offline.

How do I make it calmer?

Hold Click, go to View and choose Slow Spin for a quiet 30-minute orbit, or Ambient for Earth with minimal text. Your choice is remembered.

Something looks wrong or froze.

Close and reopen Storyglobe, and check for an app and tvOS update. If it continues, email us and tell us what was on screen.
